Preventing children’s exposure and reducing their vulnerability to harm online is a key strategic aim of the National Crime Agency’s child protection command CEOP. Fundamental to achieving this objective is CEOP’s Thinkuknow programme, which endeavours to empower children online through education. The programme also works to provide parents, carers and practitioners working with children with the knowledge, understanding and confidence to safeguard children online. Marie has been developing and delivering CEOP’s Thinkuknow programme over the past seven years. Marie manages the Education team and the production of award winning educational resources. Marie regularly delivers CEOP’s Training courses to audiences of professionals working with children across the country – Marie also chairs the UK Council for Child Internet Safety (UKCCIS) Education Working group.

Mae rhaglen Thinkuknow CEOP, sy’n ceisio grymuso plant ar-lein trwy gyfrwng addysg, yn allweddol er mwyn cyflawni’r amcan hwn. Yn ogystal, mae’r rhaglen yn gweithio i ddarparu’r wybodaeth, y ddealltwriaeth a’r hyder i rieni, gofalwyr ac ymarferwyr sy’n gweithio gyda phlant er mwyn diogelu plant ar-lein. Mae Marie wedi bod yn datblygu ac yn darparu rhaglen Thinkuknow CEOP dros y saith mlynedd ddiwethaf. Mae Marie yn rheoli’r tîm Addysg a’r broses o gynhyrchu adnoddau addysgol sydd wedi ennill gwobrau. Mae Marie yn darparu cyrsiau Hyfforddiant CEOP i gynulleidfaoedd o weithwyr proffesiynol sy’n gweithio gyda phlant ar draws y wlad yn rheolaidd – yn ogystal, mae Marie yn cadeirio Gweithgor Addysg Cyngor y DU dros Ddiogelwch Plant ar y Rhyngrwyd (UKCCIS).
