Josie Fraser
Title: Supporting whole school digital development – making confident, effective and creative use of technologies.

Josie Fraser is a Social and Educational Technologist who works across education sectors, with governments, commercial service providers and not for profit organisations, developing innovative and effective practice in the use of technology to support learning and teaching.

Between 2010-2016, she led the technology strand of Leicester City Council’s £340million Building Schools for the Future Programme – setting, promoting and delivering an agenda for educational transformation in relation to the use of technology within schools. Her work developing school workforce digital literacy, and introducing open education licences and practices to the compulsory education sector has been recognised internationally.

She has worked on behalf of Childnet International to produce national school sector cyberbullying guidance for both Labour and Conservative UK governments.

Since 2015 she has served as a board member of Wikimedia UK, a charity dedicated to supporting access to knowledge for all, promoting engagement with Wikimedia projects, including Wikipedia, Wiki Data, and the Wikimedia Commons.

Mae Josie Fraser yn Dechnolegydd Cymdeithasol ac Addysgol sy’n gweithio ar draws sectorau addysg, gyda llywodraethau, darparwyr gwasanaethau masnachol a sefydliadau dielw, gan ddatblygu arfer arloesol ac effeithiol wrth ddefnyddio technoleg i gynorthwyo dysgu ac addysgu.  Rhwng 2010 a 2016, bu’n arwain maes technoleg o fewn Rhaglen Adeiladu Ysgolion ar gyfer y Dyfodol Cyngor Dinas Caerlŷr, a oedd yn werth £340 miliwn, gan osod, hyrwyddo a darparu agenda ar gyfer trawsnewid addysgol mewn perthynas â defnyddio technoleg mewn ysgolion.  Mae ei gwaith wrth ddatblygu llythrennedd digidol gweithluoedd ysgolion a chyflwyno arferion a thrwyddedau addysg agored i’r sector addysg gorfodol wedi cael ei gydnabod ar lefel ryngwladol.

Mae hi wedi gweithio ar ran Childnet International i baratoi canllawiau cenedlaethol ar gyfer y sector ysgolion ynghylch seiberfwlio ar gyfer llywodraethau Llafur a Cheidwadol y DU.

Er 2015, mae hi wedi bod yn aelod o fwrdd Wikimedia UK, elusen sy’n cefnogi mynediad i wybodaeth i bawb a hyrwyddo gweithgarwch ymgysylltu â phrosiectau Wikimedia, gan gynnwys Wikipedia, Wiki Data, a Wikimedia Commons.
